About Me

I’m an educator from Houston, Texas.  I am married and I have three children.  I live and work in Spring Branch Independent School District.  I also consult with other districts to help their teachers as they work with language learners in American schools.  As of early 2016, I am on special assignment in Spring Branch with a class of refugees who have just recently entered our education system.  We are trying to determine the best ways to support these young learners.  The gifts and talents they bring to us are immense.

  1. Carol, I know you are working on your doctorate. And that keeps you busy! But I have been asked to help get speakers for the TESOL K-12 day. I’m wondering if I could put your name forward as a possible speaker. Would you be interested? (P.S. I’m tofubeth on the twitters…)

  2. Hi Carol,
I met you at the 2019 CoTesol in Denver, Colorado. You graciously signed your book for me. Sadly, I lost the book. If I send you my copy, would you sign it again? I teach HS MLL.
    Laurie
